Uncompromising quality from your local manufacturer of glass splashbacks.

When it comes to kitchen renovations nothing comes close to the quality and functionality of ultra-clear low-iron glass which is custom-cut and designed right here in Port Stephens and the Hunter.

There’s no need to go to the hassle and expense of having a glass splashback made in Sydney when you can have it crafted locally by our professional team.

Our splashbacks are not mass-produced – they are custom-crafted with the attention to detail you’d expect from a small rural business.

Our splashbacks are crafted to Australian standards and are designed to withstand the rigours of the busiest of kitchens. Our toughened Starphire glass can withstand heat and impact, unlike acrylic splashbacks that can crack under the pressure of a busy kitchen.

Your Port Stephens splashback is amazingly easy to clean – with no messy grout that you encounter with a tiled splashback.

The choice of colours is endless – we can colour match anything from the Dulux or Taubmans range. If a mirrored splashback is more to your taste, then we have a range of mirrored options to select from.

If you really want to add style and open the room up, our scenic glass splashbacks are a must-have. We handle photography in-house, with award-winning photographer Stephen Keating on hand to ensure you get amazing results from the image. You can even use your own high-resolution image for that personal touch. If you have a specific photo idea in mind that you would like photographed - we do that for you as well.

Instead of using vinyl stickers that some of the Sydney companies use, we print directly onto the glass using a specially formulated UV eco-ink that is guaranteed to stand the test of time. There’s no peeling, flaking or bubbling – just a high-resolution print that is literally impossible to remove once the ink cures in our workshop.

So, save the hassle of Sydney and support a local – you’ll be glad you did. We stand by our product, and we are with you every step of the way in crafting a fantastic glass splashback for your kitchen, bathroom, or office space.

Sunrise Stephens Peak

SPK2408242393422

I have been waiting with anticipation all week for this morning, knowing that the sunrise was going to be pretty special.

I dutifully set my alarm for 4am (I don’t know why I do that, as I always stay awake knowing I have to get up early).

3:30am – near enough, so I get up and make myself a nice relaxing coffee and double check I have packed all the gear and load the car.

Random thoughts often go through your mind at stupid o’clock and I was thinking to myself that next year is my 64th birthday and a certain Beatles song started playing in my head – over and over all the way to the top of Stephens Peak. Meanwhile, I’m being cautious with loose rocks on the climb up in the dark as it wouldn’t be fun having to retrieve my carcass if I have an accident up there. That got me to thinking, wouldn’t it be fun if in years to come after I die, I spend my eternity having to climb that hill every night as the ghost of Stephens Peak. You can tell by now the coffee was starting to wear off.

It's still early in the season, but the first signs of Spring are with us. Loads of flying bugs are attracted to my head torch so best to keep my mouth closed if I don’t want to have an insect smorgasbord for breakfast.

As I reached the summit, I could see the red glow on the horizon, so all the effort was going to pay off and I made it to the top in one piece

I got what I wanted, packed everything up and headed back to the car and drove home.

I pulled into the driveway thinking that I successfully managed to climb Stephens Peak in the dark again, having promised the Doctor that I would indeed start taking it easy from now on as I’m picking up too many injuries lately.

I got out of the car, went round to the passenger side (I still don’t know why I needed to do that) and opened the door onto my face, splitting my lip.

Anyway, that’s how I got my fat lip this morning in case anybody is wondering.

Preparing glass for printing with our unique direct-to-glass machine - video

Quality is important to us, so we choose to print directly to glass rather than put a vinyl sticker on the back which can peel or crack over time.

We flip the image in reverse and print onto the underside of the glass, so that the printed image is protected by the glass after installation. This particular sheet of glass is 3150mm in length, which is the maximum length we can print to (3200mm X 2000mm).

Aboriginal art splashbacks by local indigenous artist Doris Glasson

Doris Glasson is a local Indigenous artist whose works have been seen far and wide. Her art tells stories of her childhood and it seems as if you are flying above the land. Doris has a studio and workshop in Nelson Bay Road at Anna Bay and her work was also featured on the Manly jerseys for the Indigenous round.

We are honoured to be able to offer Doris' artwork as glass splashbacks which even come with a hidden dragonfly, which is Doris' personal totem.
